Hi Leslie! Thank you so much for reading and responding thoughtfully. Yes you are correct, my trauma did start in childhood in a religious cult (example: 5 year old stuck in a crowded room of many adults all “speaking in tongues” at the same time for hours, not allowed to leave or go play) as well as my mother abandoning me as a young teen, vulnerable to more trauma experiences. My therapist has done a wonderful job treating me first at those core memories as it did set the groundwork for this response later in life. I tried to streamline this piece to more recent triggers, but have written a lot about my Mother Wound and other childhood trauma in older pieces. I’m working hard at processing every step I’ve taken, since age 5. Thank you so kindly!
