Thank you for your bravery to share your story. It also sheds light on how society is conditioned to blame victims, which is tragic. We think that terms such as rape can only be used in the most dramatic, obvious scenarios. But your experience was real, and traumatizing. Isn’t it Interesting how the last to label rape by that title is the women who suffer by it? When I tried to leave my abusive ex, he raped me. But I never felt entitled to call it that.
